Owner and Certified Executive Chef, Clive Jackson. Chef Jackson presents you with over 30 years professional experience as a dynamic, resourceful and skilled Executive Head Chef with a success record in both fine dining and catering. Chef Jackson was employed by the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a Chef dePartie and advanced to Executive Chef where he learned a wide range of international cuisines to include: French, Italian, Tex-Mex, American Steakhouse, Asian American Caribbean, and Mediterranean, to name a few. Chef Jackson continued to build on his culinary expertise while working in the entertainment industry at Warner Brothers Studios (Hollywood and Burbank Studio) as Manager and Executive Chef, he had the pleasure of providing a highly unique dining experience for many luminaries in the television and music industries. Chef Jackson later plied his trade and held positions as Executive Chef at several other Los Angels location, including The Historic Ebell Club of Lo Angles, and City Fare Catering Company. Chef Jackson is extremely skilled at putting his own stamp on traditional dishes, creating new combinations and experimenting with textures and flavours, blending California Nouveau with Caribbean cuisine to make original dishes that display a very artistic presentation, as well as being delightful to the plate.
Chef Clive Jackson brings a global approach to food preparing and food design because of the aspects of the American cuisine that he has mastered. At the end of the day, The Brownstone Bistro menu makes culinary sense and promotes good technique and flavor profiles. Our menu is designed base upon local, seasonal, sustainable and organic agriculture; and of course, delicious recipes!
